I’ve been honored to photograph the Survivor’s Dinner before the Relay for Life here in Lancaster for the last several years. It’s always a fun event & I’ve made some new friends that it’s great to see attend year after year. This year they decided to change things up a bit. It’s typically been an evening dinner a few weeks before the actual Relay for Life, but this year they decided to have a luncheon on the actual day of Relay for Life. It was held in the little restaurant at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds, right on the grounds where the Relay for Life itself is held. They had 3 seatings for the luncheon which allowed more survivors to attend this year. It was catered by Carrie who operates Carrie’s Country Kitchen during the Fairfield County Fair. If you’ve ever eaten there during fair week, you know all of her food is yummy!
The guests were supplied with information for Fairfield Medical Center’s Cancer Resource Center http://www.fmchealth.org/our-services/cancer-care/resource-center.aspx who hosted the event along with Relay for Life. It was a great turnout & I loved getting to visit with some people who I hadn’t seen in a while. It was an awesome event as usual! Enjoy the photos!
